TDX Group, the UK’s leading provider of data and technology-driven debt solutions, has a team of 30 intrepid cyclists ready to embark on the challenge of their lives and is calling on local businesses for support.
The challenge dubbed “Tour de TDX Group”, which coincides with Bike Week, will see the team attempting to cycle around England, Wales and Ireland, in order to raise money for its charity of the year, the Children's Bereavement Centre.
Beginning on 10 June, the team of cyclists will visit every TDX Group and Equifax office in the UK. Starting in Nottingham, the tour will travel south to London, then across to Wales, via ferry across the Irish Sea to Wexford, up to Dublin and back across the Irish Sea to Liverpool before returning to Nottingham via Leeds. A total of 700 miles in 7 days!
Stuart Bungay, Group Product and Marketing Director at TDX Group, said: “Every 22 minutes in the UK a child is bereaved of a parent and the Children’s Bereavement Centre is there to offer much needed support to families at one of the most traumatic times in their lives. By cycling 700 miles in 7 days we hope to raise serious amounts of cash for this very worthy cause and spread the word about this amazing charity amongst our other offices around the country.
“So, we’re calling for the support of local businesses to help equip our cyclists whilst they’re out on the road. We need anything and everything; from food, drinks, cycling equipment or first aid packs – please dig deep to enable us complete this challenge and gain much needed funding to assist more children and families who rely on this service.”
Nottingham-based, TDX Group was founded in 2004 and is now part of Equifax. The company and its 380+ employees are committed to supporting the community and local charities. Every year TDX Group colleagues choose a charity to support as part of its ‘Make the Connection’ corporate and social responsibility programme. This year it is proud to support the Children's Bereavement Centre - an independent charity who help with the grieving process brought on by the death, terminal illness and divorce or separation of someone close, with centres in Newark and West Bridgford.
