TDX Group, the UK’s leading provider of debt recovery solutions, is delighted to announce that its third annual charity ball, held on Thursday 08 October, raised over £86,000 for the Children’s Bereavement Centre – an independent charity who help with the grieving process brought on by the death, terminal illness and divorce or separation of someone close.
The event, held at the Nottingham Belfry hotel, brought together more than 250 guests from businesses across the East Midlands for an evening of networking and fundraising. The TDX Group clients, suppliers, local businesses and representatives from the Children’s Bereavement Centre came together to provide prizes, time and funds to make the event a huge success.
Laurence Hamilton, Managing Director at TDX Group, said: “I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests at the charity ball and delighted that we’ve managed to more than double last year’s fundraising efforts. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has helped support this incredible cause and played a part in raising the phenomenal total for the Children’s Bereavement Centre. I am very proud of the work TDX Group do for our local community; and the passion, commitment and achievements of my colleagues.”
Amanda Brett, Manager at the Children’s Bereavement Centre, said: “We’re delighted with the amount that TDX Group has raised for us as our current centre is at full capacity and we plan to use this donation to extend the services we provide in outreach centres across Nottinghamshire. This will mean that we can provide support for 200 more children, young people and their families as close to their home as possible at what is often the most traumatic time in their lives. A huge thank you to TDX Group colleagues, clients and everyone who has come together to raise these vital funds for our centre, it means so much to us and the families we support on a daily basis.”
Nottingham-based, TDX Group was founded in 2004 and is now part of Equifax. The company and its 360+ employees are committed to supporting the community and local charities. Every year TDX Group colleagues choose a charity to support as part of its ‘Make the Connection’ corporate and social responsibility programme and throughout 2014 have been working with the Children’s Bereavement Centre based in Newark.
