Corporate Social Responsibility

At TDX Group, we believe that any action we take should be for the benefit of all, and this ethos filters through everything we do; our approach in business is to always ensure 'Everybody Wins', and our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme is a natural extension of this.

We have called our CSR programme Make the Connection with volunteering, dress down days and payroll giving being just some of our day-to-day activities.

In 2013 we set ourselves the goal of raising £20,000 for Nottinghamshire Hospice - and were absolutely delighted to raise a total of over £34,000. We held numerous fundraising events throughout the year, including our first ever charity ball raising over £32,000, and events ranging from triathlons to skydives.

We hoped to continue this success into 2014, and again, managed to beat our £20,000 target. Our Nottingham team spent the year raising money for The Ear Foundation, an independent charity that helps individuals with hearing impairments, and their families make the best use of technology to improve hearing, communication and spoken language. We held our second Charity Ball in support of this cause, and raised an amazing £40,000 for the charity.

In 2015, we chose to support the Children's Bereavement Centre, who help children and teenagers through the loss of a parent(s) or carer through terminal illness, divorce or separation. We raised a phenomenal £87,484, and decided to continue our support to them throughout 2016, raising a staggering £89,266.70. We have now decided to make them our permanent charity partner.

Along with our partner charity, at the beginning of 2017 our colleagues voted to make Inspire Nottingham, who provide services and support that enables people with learning disabilities to develop their potential for living full and independent lives, our charity of the year. They will receive 15% of funds raised throughout 2017.

In addition to our charity partner and charity of the year we also raised funds for over 40 charities each year and participate in national fundraising events.

The efforts of our colleagues in giving something back to the community in which we live and work has been recognised by our winning the Nottingham Evening Post's Contribution to the Community award in 2014, 2015 and 2017. We were also winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative at the Credit Today Awards in 2014 and 2017, along with a finalist in 2015.

Thank you to all our colleagues, clients and partners for all their help so far, and for their continued support in the future. Keep an eye out for our fundraising activities in 2017!ace

Our ‘Make the Connection’ mission

'To be the most socially responsible organisation in the UK debt industry.'

We will do this in the following ways:

  • Fairness: making sure that consumers in financial arrears are always treated fairly and that regulatory frameworks are always met.
  • Fundraising: fundraising for a wide range of charities, especially those in the Nottingham and East Midlands area.
  • People: by respecting and supporting the needs of all individuals in everything we do.
  • Environment: by respecting and tending to the needs of our natural environment with our time and services.
  • Volunteering: helping others with our time and expertise.
